How to test your network connection
Testing the network connectionYour player will continue to play stored content even when the internet connection is lost.
This is a feature that allows Check that either the LAN or WiFi icon is lit up on the front of the player. If neither, the test will fail.
Performing the testTo begin, follow these steps using the remote control: Press the home button Select the settings (gear) icon.
Enter the password: 2016 Select the menu items Wireless and Networks >> Test ConnectionThe test will run, showing three green checkmarks if everything is good.
Dismiss the dialog box offering to run TraceRoute by clicking the Cancel button.
What the Test results meanIf you get any red "X", this indicates there is a problem with your connection.
A red X in position one indicates the player is not able to reach your local area network.
Possible causes include: Bad cable Incorrect WiFi password The DHCP service is not providing a valid IP addressContact your IT staff for assistance.
A red X in the position 2 indicates a problem getting through your local network to the internet.
Possible causes include: The internet is down or restricted Your local network firewall is blocking *.yantrasign.com over port 443 (SSL) Network security using mac/IP filtering restrictionsContact your network administratorA red X in position 3 indicates a problem with the Everwell server.
