As long as you have not applied any fencing to your media and you schedule your media in an active playlist or campaign, you can be relatively certain it is playing.
If you have a need to confirm certain media is playing, you can turn on Proof-of-play (in MANAGE) for that media and run reports periodically (from the Report tab > POP report).
Turn off proof of play when no longer needed to reduce player load and network traffic.
Players not connected to the network will not report proof of play.
The player Preview has many limitations your hardware players do not.
It is not designed to run for more than 30-60 seconds at a time.
It does not download anything: it streams your media from Amazon servers and can misbehave due to:transient network conditions between your PC and the serveryour PC's capabilities and performance at the moment you open previewyour browser's capability and memory management (many tabs open, latest browser version, etc.)It is limited by HTML and browser technology standards.
For example, the ticker speed in Preview does not match the speed shown on the player.
We cannot fix this using current browser technologies.
Advancing to the next item does not always behave as expected.
It is very difficult to use the player Preview feature to ensure specific media is playing properly.
It becomes exponentially more difficult to see any one specific piece of media in player Preview as your playlist grows larger.
You can try to force it, as I did in the demonstration video, but it is probably not worth the effort.
Preview is designed to help us visualize how all the pieces look when put together (Layout, Tower, Ticker, and Main Zone, Logo, weather bug, clock, etc), things like arrangement, color scheme, etc.
If you have problems with preview:Update your browser to the latest version.
Log off and log on Yantrasign.
Close all browser tabs and restart. Restart your PC.
