Fixing Audio Interruption from Silent Videos

When using a continuous Background Audio playlist, the system assumes all video files contain priority audio. By default, it will automatically mute the background music whenever any .mp4 file appears in any layout zone.

The Challenge

Even if an uploaded video file is completely silent (e.g., an animated Canva graphic or a silent loop), the player will still "duck" the background music.

How to Prevent Audio Ducking

Step 1: Locate the Media

Go to the MEDIA tab in the portal and find the silent video file.

Step 2: Open Management Settings

Select the file and click the Manage (wrench) icon.

Step 3: Toggle Background Audio Setting

Locate the setting labeled "Has Background Audio".

Step 4: Switch to NO

Switch this setting to NO.

Result

The background music playlist will now continue broadcasting uninterrupted while this specific silent animation plays.
